Located downstairs, the Pearl suite offers a pretty twin daybed and separate private parlor with front facing windows and cozy furnishings.
The Ballerina Room
Located upstairs, the Ballerina room offers a private nook with twin bed, double dressers and ballerina inspired art.
The Ruby Room
Located upstairs, historic portraits grace the walls of the Ruby Room which sleeps 2 with a queen bed, walk-in closet, and spacious layout.
The Opal Room
With comfortable dual king bed, the Opal room offers a dramatic Victorian atmosphere complete with a spacious with walk-in closet, Victorian settee, and antique furnishings.
The Jade Room
With views of Mt. Vernon Avenue, the Jade room sleeps 3 in twin and queen beds. Decorated with a nod to the children of Victorian Prescott, this room is spacious and charming.
Kitchen & Butler Pantry
Perfect for preparing family meals, this fully up-dated main kitchen has granite counter tops and modern stainless appliances. A butler's kitchen features a second food prep and staging area for events and parties, and includes a second full-size refrigerator/freezer. Laundry is located in the mudroom off the butler's kitchen.
Bathrooms
Both upstairs and downstairs bathrooms have been fully up-dated while retaining their historic charm. The downstairs claw foot tub offers guests the option of shower or long relaxing soak.
The Rooster Dining Room
Set for large family dining, the Rooster room offers a spacious dining table and seating for 10 (extra chairs are in the butler's pantry). Perfect for meals, family games, or conversations over coffee. Original woodwork, lighting, and window seat add to the historic feel of this formal dining room.
The Grounds in Spring and Summer
The shady front garden offers a lush green lawn and pretty plantings that bloom throughout the Spring and Summer. 100-year old trees cast dappled shade over the front porch which is fully outfitted with relaxing rockers and romantic porch swing.
The Rose garden blooms continuously from May through August. Enjoy a glass of wine while admiring the blooms and visiting hummingbirds in this private section of the grounds.
The back yard is spacious and offers plenty of room for fun and games. A modern gas BBQ is at your disposal, cushy outdoor seating for relaxing and picnic table for dining al fresco.
Our Convenient parking in back allows for easy access to the kitchen's back entrance.
Summer Events occur almost every weekend in Prescott and local lakes and hiking trails are perfect for exploring the Prescott National forest and surrounding nature.
The Grounds in Fall and Winter
Enjoy the changing of the leaves September through November. Mount Vernon Avenue becomes a sought-out destination for "leaf peepers" who wish to enjoy the riot of fall colors and falling leaves.
October brings Fall celebrations and many of the historic homes on the street are decorated with lights and bunting which can be enjoyed during evening strolls.
Stay cozy in The Shady Victorian and watch the snow fall outside during Prescott's winter. Check our local chamber of commerce for information about the light and Christmas Parades and "Acker Night" -a local evening of live music and entertainment for the whole family.
Our convenient parking in the back offers easy access to the mud room if weather is inclement.
The City of Prescott is unique in that it welcomes and celebrates all four seasons. No matter what time of year you visit, The Shady Victorian will provide a unique "home base" from which you can explore all of the local sights and events Prescott has to offer.
